100 Payne Springs Road!


About Us

  • The Dickson Senior Activity Center is owned and operated by the City of Dickson.


  • The Senior Center’s mission is to empower adults 55+ with personal independence, social connections, physical well-being and lifelong learning.


  • The Dickson Senior Activity Center is a “multi-purpose center” and is considered the “Community Focal Point” for services for adult seniors 55 or older. Several activities are offered throughout each month, and are listed in our monthly newsletter, which can be picked up at the Center, on Facebook, or at the top of this page under the Monthly Newsletter button.


  • The Dickson Senior Activity Center moved into the new location at 100 Payne Springs Road in October 2022.


  • There is no membership fee; however, donations are always welcome.

What We Offer

Activities

  • Creative Classes

    The Center offers a variety of classes throughout the month: crochet, painting, photography, counted cross stitch, camera and more.

  • Bingo

    Bingo is played at 1:00 pm on Monday and 10:00 am on Thursday. Through sponsorships from local businesses, bingo is free for everybody!

  • Exercise Classes

    The Center is very fortunate to have several exercise classes to accomodate various levels of fitness. All instructors are certified.


    Yoga: Monday 10:00 & 11:00

                 Wednesday 9:00, 10:00 & 11:00


    Line Dancing: Tuesday 10:00 & 5:30


    Total Fitness: Tuesday & Thursday                10:00 & 11:00


    Floor Yoga: Friday 10:00


    Cardio: Tuesday 9:00      Friday 9:00


    Zumba Gold:  Wednesday 10:00

    Thursday 10:00 & 5:30                   

                           

    Kickboxing: Thursday 9:00


    Gentle Chair Yoga: Friday 10:00


    Groovy Line Dance: Monday 10:00


    Strength & Balance: Friday 11:00


  • Bowling Team

    The center has a bowling team that bowls every Friday at Thunder Alley at 11:00. Come join the Bowling Buddies for a good time!

  • Chair Volleyball

  • Coffee Shop

     Fresh brewed coffee for $1

  • Homemade Lunches

    The Dickson Senior Center offers delicious homemade lunches. We serve lunch Monday-Thursday from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm . The menu can be found on our Facebook page, Dickson Senior Center. Our meals are prepared daily and are $5.00, which includes a choice of sweet/unsweet tea. Dessert is also available for $1.00.
