Special Response Team

Special Response Team

The City of Dickson Fire Department’s Special Response Team (SRT) is made up of personnel from every division in the department, as well as members of Dickson County Emergency Management Agency and other county entities. Directed by the fire chief and the EMA director, as well as two team leaders, the team responds to unusual occurrences which may include situations of an emergency nature resulting from natural or man-made disasters, hazardous material spills, certain types of vehicle collisions, and special incidents. We have highly trained personnel to mitigate any situation that may arise.

The City of Dickson Fire Department’s SRT is prepared to respond effectively to any of the unusual/special events. Too many variables involved prevent precise development of plans for specific situations. However, base-planning considerations can be identified and special plans can be developed to guide supervisors in dealing with a variety of unusual/special operations.

Training

The City of Dickson Fire Department along with Dickson County Emergency Management Agency and the other county entities train together to create a unified Special Response Team.
