Library

Library Services are offered each day. New books are added as they are donated. Any regular member is allowed to use these facilities.

Bingo

We play bingo every Monday and Thursday at 10:00, everyone is asked to bring a dollar gift and everyone leaves with at least a dollar gift. We also will have a door prize and giveaways (from Kroger donations) during this time. We also have sponsored bingo on the last Wednesday of every month at 9:00, no gifts are needed as Renewed living donates the prizes.

Field Trips

Field trips are offered several times each year. There is a minimal charge for these trips. Some examples are Chaffin’s Barn Dinner Theatre, State Fair, Belle Meade Mansion, Nashville Zoo, and the General Jackson Riverboat. Our most popular trip is our “Spring Fling” trip on the General Jackson Riverboat. Stay tuned to our monthly newsletter for further details.

Craft Classes

Once a month on Fridays at 1:00 we hold a craft class at, we ask that you please sign up so that we may know how many to buy supplies for. It is geared towards the upcoming season and always fun and entertaining. Please check the newsletter for sign up deadline and when the class will be held.

Exercise Class

We offer a yoga class every Monday and Wednesday and on Tuesday and Thursday we offer a general fitness class. We also have Zumba Gold on Fridays. They begin daily at 10:00. These classed are adapted to senior’s special needs and are taught by certified instructors.

We also have an exercise room filled with commercial equipment that is available daily from 8-4.

Dances

Dances are conducted every Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. There is a $4.00 fee at the door to pay the band. Every third Thursday is “Family Night” and anyone 55 or older is welcome to attend with someone that is a regular participant of the Center. We also have a concession stand available with coffee, tea, dessert etc.

Senior Citizen Club

The Senior Citizen Club meets on the third Friday evening at 5:00. There is a short business meeting, then an add-a-dish supper. They also play bingo and you are asked to bring a gift in order to play. Anyone that attends the senior center is a member of this club and there are no membership dues.

Book club

The first Friday of every month we have a book club meeting, we meet at the center at 1:00, we discuss the previously picked out book and pick out a new book at that meeting. We always have refreshments and great fellowship.

Photo Club

On the first and third Wednesday of every month at 11:30 we have a photography club that meets at the Senior Center. You do not need a fancy camera in order to become a member of this club. We do make occasional field trips and also have various contests throughout the year. We also have a special board to display the groups work.

Resource Center

We have a Resource Center that we keep stocked with literature that not only pertains to seniors but also consists of things are geared for safety during inclement weather, if you can’t find it in our resource center just let Tammy know and she will find it for you. We strive to have everything you ever wanted to know and maybe even stuff you didn’t know that you wanted to know.

Card Making

On the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 12:00-2:00 we get together and make cards from recycled greeting cards. If you enjoy scrapbooking and crafts please join us in making greeting cards.
