Maintenance Building Removal

This job requires the demolition, disassemble, or removal of the old City Water/Maintenance Building located behind the Police Department at 202 S. Main Street, Dickson, TN 37055. The building is a 80 x 75 metal shell structure. The only remaining item will be the concrete floor slab. All building material and debris shall be removed in the time specified below. Whomever is selected to perform such work shall provide the City of Dickson proof of Liability Insurance for such work. The time line for this project is thirty (30) days from the issuance of the necessary permit to the final inspection of the clear lot. A requested time extension for any reason shall be in writing to this department explaining such reason (10) days prior to the thirty (30) day dead line. The time extension shall be reviewed by the Director of Planning and Zoning.

The metal structure includes:

  • (2) overhead roll-up doors with motor
  • Hanging gas heating system
  • Air conditioning system (Carrier)
  • Fresh Air return fan with motor
  • Existing light fixtures
  • Existing windows and doors
  • Existing wiring

When returning this bid application one shall provide: 

  • Insurance Certificate
  • Check Payable to the City of Dickson for project
  • Completed Bid-Form

All bids are to be sealed and returned to City Hall no later than 4:00 pm, Friday, March 12, 2010. All sealed bids are to be reviewed by the City Administrator and read aloud Monday, March 15, 2010 at 9:00 am in the Planning and Zoning conference room. The awarded Contractor/Individual shall be presented at the regular scheduled Finance Committee meeting March 15, 2010 at 7:00 pm. If you have any question please feel free to call. (615-441-9505)

Pool Resurfacing

The City of Dickson Parks and Recreation will be accepting bids for resurfacing the Main Pool and the Wading Pool with a PVC Membrane or an equal quality material. The lap pool area is 45' x 83' with depths of 3' to 5'. The slide area is 30' x 30' with the depth of 12'. The wading pool is 15'x 30' with the depth of 1' 6".

Bids must be made out to the City of Dickson Parks and Recreation's Department, 600 East Walnut Street, Dickson Tennessee 37055 and turned in no later than March 22, 2010 at 10:00am. Each bid must have a copy of the Contractor's Tennessee Business License and proof of insurance attached.
